Great Ways To Make Money Online

Have a flexible work time - work online

For those who would rather work from home and be able to manage both their home as well as have an income, the best way to do this is to work and make money online. Unlike a job that holds you from at least 9 to 5, working at home allows you the freedom to take care of other priorities if they crop up in between and manage your home and your work side by side. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to ensure a happy home life and a well balanced job together and the way is to make money online. Your only expenditure would be a computer with an internet connection to give you a good foundation in your work. Apart from this all you would have to invest is your time and that too according to your convenience.

Do freelance work

Another way to make money online is to register with a freelance site. The online work culture has expanded to the point that no one who registers on an online job site will go without work. There are several different kinds of jobs that you can do and you could opt for one where your expertise lies. From simple work like data entry to more elaborate soft ware programming and copywriting, there is a wide choice to pick from.

If you are technically qualified and have the necessary software on your home computer, you could do medical transcription, photography and several other specialized jobs from home and make money online.

Here again, you could pick the jobs that you can do and work at them whenever you are free, though what ever the job, you would have to maintain deadlines.

Do market surveys

Another popular and simple method to make money online is to register with companies that carry out market surveys for various products and services and pay you for it. All you would have to do is to register with such organizations and circulate their questionnaire online for the opinion of the community on these products and services. This is mainly a promotional application which gives the manufacturer an idea of the market value of his product. Your interaction would be only through email contact.

The main attraction in online survey jobs is that you could register in more than one company at a time and earn a profitable amount from home. You could search the net for such survey organizing companies and will come up with more than you could handle. Registration is free of charge and all you would have to update periodically is your data bank of email addresses and contacts, so that you could carry out the surveys with a large number of persons. Another good thing is that you could contact people all over the world from home for their opinion and make money online.

Investing Yourself Into Making Money Online

I have made tens of thousands of dollars online in the past few years researching ideas about making money online and through this free website, and I enjoy sharing exactly how you can do it too.

I do admit that most of the information offered on the internet that you have to pay for is either bogus or can be had for free with enough research. I think if you are smart enough, you can actually come up with some of these ideas yourself. You just need to be entrepreneurial minded.

However, there are a select amount of tools online that people have really put some serious work and money into. Some of them just take a tedious process and automate it. I am a huge fan of automation. If you can get a way to take a process and figure it out so you don't have to do the legwork of it anymore, you can spend your time learning new and different ways to make money. If you get bogged down in daily manual tasks, you will never grow.

Some of the other programs available online have nothing to do with automation but they are just
brilliant ideas that some very forward thinking people have come up with. In every aspect of life, there are these kind of people who are always thinking about 10 steps ahead of everybody else. These are the inventors, thinkers, and doers of the online money making game and they deserve to be rewarded for their expertise.

Again I am definitely not saying every program out there that you have to pay for will fall into these two categories. For the most part, I do agree that the majority are mostly just bogus hype and if the plans really did work, the seller would not need so much hype behind it. However I don't think the minority should suffer because of this.

If you are interested in making money online, there are thousands of free resources that will help you and get you started. If you are more in a rush to get the process going, it is a good idea to invest in something that will help get you there quicker. This is where the programs that actually cost money will be a tremendous help. But how do you tell the hype from the real deal? Do your research!

Nothing in life is 100% free. Either it will cost you money, it will cost you time, or it will cost you the opportunity of doing something different. If you are looking to save one, you are going to have to spend on the other. You cannot avoid all three and still hope to be successful. If you think you can, you will be spending your whole life looking for it, and guess what, you are still spending time but you aren't getting anywhere.

Determine which path you want to take. To help you a little bit, I've put together a completely free website that will guide you towards making money online, but you will have to spend some time reading and learning. If you do not have this time to spend, but do have some money you'd like to invest in making the process a little easier, just check out the "tools" section of my website. It saves you some time by listing some of the best online programs that you have to pay for.

Keep in mind you should never spend money on anything that does not provide step by step details. Everybody can come up with a theory or an idea. What you want if you choose to invest your money is the cold hard how to facts.

One train of thought is that we are trained to value money a lot more than time. Therefore if we only spend our time trying to get rich, we are not as motivated as if we had actually spent some money on it. If we invest our hard earned money in ourselves, then we will be much more motivated to at the very least make that money back. In the process of doing so, we not only make the money back, but come up with techniques of our own that make the money back 100 times.

The decision is up to you. Do you want to make money online? If no, why are you reading this? If yes, then which do you want to spend, the time or the money?

Make sure to check out my website to help you with that decision. My personal decision was to invest some money and some time and see which method would be the most successful. What I found is that it is not just one or the other that is more successful, but a combination of the two that has led me to my online success.

Work From Home and Make Money Online

The World Wide Web is fast become an entangled place, and with a lot of thanks to enterprising people who want to make a difference. And that's not just for charities and donations: people are now offering jobs online, as well as a good deal of opportunities that might see the rise of online businesses in the future.

But did you know that many of these opportunities are also goldmines for people who want to work at home? Many of today's business deals can be transacted online. You can send and receive money through your bank account by clicking on a few buttons and signing into a secure server. You can buy and sell items on special merchant websites. You can even hold conference calls or chats with different people without spending too much time on the phone, or too much money for long distance calls!

This means that you can work from home and make money online. But what different kinds of businesses can allow you to thrive online while working from home? You can be a virtual assistant. Many offshore bosses need a lot of clerical work done in their satellite countries. They need appointments to be set up, paperwork to be printed, and a few errands to be run. Instead of traveling to the satellite country with their secretaries, these bosses would prefer to save money and hire virtual assistants instead.

Although some tasks of the virtual assistant might entail that you step out of your home once in a while, most of the work involves you sitting at a computer and talking to your boss. If you think that you are cut out for such a job, then look at online forums for job openings.

Also along this line of work is writing. You can write short blog articles and do your research - all in the comfort of your own home! You do not even need to step away from your PC: all you need is a good pair of hands with strong fingers, a brain, and a lot of creativity. Many writing jobs online involve ghostwriting or writing short articles for websites. Such articles will be a centered on a particular topic, and specific instructions on content are usually given, so you do not need to worry about article outlines, writing style, or writing tone.

If you have a lot of old things at home that you want to sell, then get online and sell them off an auction block! You can put your old things up for sale and still get paid. In fact, you can even make a website for your things, put up a price, and invite people to contact you to buy them.

Speaking of websites, you can also earn some income from affiliate programs. Establish a website or a blog, then sign up for an affiliate program such as Google AdSense. This program will give you commissions every time people click on the ads on your site. All you need to do is update your site or blog regularly, and you can get the most out of your AdSense account.

These are only a few ways that you can work from home and make money through an online stint. Keep looking through online forums or join online interest groups so that you can find more opportunities. If you are prepared to do a bit of work, and if you have a lot of creativity, you can go a long way online.

How to Make Money Online Promoting Other People's Products?

To tell you a bit about myself, I am a mother of a 13 month old boy and I love being a mother more than anything in the world. Being there for my son every day has truly been a blessing and I am thankful for everyday we get to spend together. That being said, I dreaded the idea of going back to work.

It wasn't until a few months ago that I discovered how to make money online. That's right, there are many ways to make money online and all I needed was my computer and the internet. How convenient that I already had both! Now I am making enough money online that I can actually stay home with my son and not go back to work.

Here is one of my favourite ways to make money online:

Promoting other people's products or services online. There are companies out there who are willing to pay you money every time someone purchases a product or service of theirs that you happen to be promoting online.

How do you get started you may ask? Simple. You can go to places like http://www.clickbank.com or http://www.joebucks.com and sign up for a free account. From there you can view thousands of products you can promote. Choose a product and start promoting it online.

There are different ways to advertise products and services online. For example, you can choose to advertise on other people's websites. Say you are promoting a cream to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, you may choose to use AdWords to promote your cream. Simply Google the word "AdWords" and click on the first thing that comes up. Promoting ads on AdWords is just one way to advertise. Sign up for a free account and create an ad about your product, in this case, stretch mark cream.

From there you have many options to choose from. You can select to have your ad displayed on specific websites related to your product. Like on websites about new mothers, or pregnancy websites etc. When someone is browsing a site, over on the side, your ad will be displayed for people to click on. Every time someone purchases the cream for example you get paid.

Got An Online Business? Start A Blog

In today's online business world today it is important for online entrepreneurs to start a blog. A blog generates awareness for your products and services and educates prospects so that they become future customers.

Why Start a Blog?

When you start a blog it makes it possible for you to generate interest for your products and services. The more frequently you post, the more often the search engine spiders will check out your website. Your blog will begin to draw in traffic to your website which, in turn, will help you to sell your products or services.

How To Build A Blog

You can set a blog for free with a hosted platform like Blogger, a free of charge publishing tool from Google. But you won't have your own blog domain name and hosting which is important if you want to be seen as professional online business. Many professional bloggers use the WordPress.org platform. The blogging software is free and there are many themes and plug-ins (added features) that you can use. There are many online tutorials that teach you how to build a blog using WordPress so that you can be up and running in no time.

Make Your Blog Relevant

When you start a blog you won't make money from it instantly. You have to provide useful information, reviews, opinions, lists and more that will be beneficial to your audience. The better the content, the more search engine traffic you will get leading to more people reading your blog. When creating content for your blog, ensure that it is relevant to your chosen niche. If your blog is too generic will not appeal to your target audience.

Making Money From Your Blog

There are several money-making opportunities you can have on your blog. These include:

Google AdSense where you display advertisements on your blog. You are paid each time a viewer click on an ad.
Selling Advertising such as online banner ads that appear on your blog to businesses who want to reach your readers.
Affiliate Marketing where you promote other people's products or services that are relevant to your blog topic. The product owner will pay you a commission when somebody buys via your affiliate link.
Electronic books or reports that you can create yourself and sell on your website.
As you build a relationship with your readers they will come know, like and trust you. As this trust grows, your readers will be more inclined to buy products and services that appear on your blog or that you recommend.

How To Get Work As A Freelance Writer

Freelance writing can be the most satisfying adventure for a new writer to experience. There are a number of sites that a "newbie" can get information about freelance writing. One idea would be to "Google" freelance writing and follow up on the number of ideas that pop up. There are organizations that a new writer can join and receive basic educational ideas.

American Writers & Artists Inc.

American Writers & Artists Inc. is a very good organization to join. This organization will send information through their e-zine. There are interesting articles to read and online courses that a member can participate in to improve their writing skills. The membership fees are very modest.

Handy reference material for the writer

One thing that a new writer needs to have handy is a good dictionary and a good thesaurus. Most computers have spell check and that will work just fine. But having a good thesaurus is essential for a variety of words so the same old words are not used continuously. This helps to add a little spice to the article. The next item that every writer should own is a good Grammar book where different phrases, placement of commas, proper structure of the sentences can be verified to ensure the correctness of the sentence.

Craigslist Gigs and Writing Categories

One of the best places to look for work will be Craigslist. They have two categories one called Gigs and the other is Writing. Either of these will provide opportunities to write.

In Craigslist, by simply applying to the different gigs or writing opportunities, the writer can stay busy writing content. By applying in different cities throughout the nation, the writer can experience success without having to pay for advertising.

A resume is needed most of the time. Make sure the information is correct and has no misspellings.

Place free ads in Craigslist and other places

Another idea is to place ads in those same areas, gigs and writing, telling about the type of writing the writer does. There are other places to post ads like Back Page, US free ads, Inet Giant, eBay and Classifieds.com. This will give the writer a good source of work opportunities. Before you can place ads on Craigslist, an account must be set up. Do not place more than three ads a day. Same thing applies to Back Page. Read the rules for placing any ads, anywhere to make sure you are abiding by the rules.

A freelance writer - a dream of a lifetime

To become a freelance writer for many, is a dream of a lifetime. To write and make money from writing is even better. There are lots of places available online where a "newbie" can practice their craft and become a much better writer. More ideas to follow.

Make Money While Traveling – Yes, It’s Possible!

Many of you said you were interested in becoming location independent and learning how to make money while traveling after reading my recent post Are You Interested In Traveling The World And Working At The Same Time?

Being location independent can be a great thing, but for most you do have to earn a living somehow so that you can support yourself. Many cannot just travel for months or years at a time without making any money.

Don’t worry though, there are plenty of ways for anyone to make money while traveling.

Don’t let this factor that may seem big hold you back from living your dream.

Also, while some of you may think this is just a thing of dreams, I am here to tell you that it is real! I am location independent and I know many others who are as well.

Below are several different ways to make money while traveling. If you want to learn how to make money while traveling then continue reading below!

1. Run a website.

This is what I do so that I can make money while traveling so, of course, I had to include this one first. Like I always say, I never realized I would be earning as much income online as I do now. Everyone has to start somewhere so do not feel like it’s not a possibility for you.

No, blogging is not a way to get rich quickly, but it can be a way to make side money or even a full-time income if you put enough hard work and time towards it.

With blogging, you can make money through advertising, affiliate marketing, sponsorships, reviews, partnerships, e-courses, ebooks, and more. You can read all about how I earn a living online in my monthly online business income reports, where I describe how I make over $25,000 online each month.

You can create your own blog here with my easy-to-use tutorial. You can start your blog for as low as $3.49 per month plus you get a free domain if you sign-up through my tutorial.

2. Find a job in the places you are visiting.

There are many instances in which you may decide to stay in a city for longer than just a vacation. Whatever your reason may be, there are many things you could do in order to earn a living.

If you want to know how to make money while traveling, you could try one of the options below:

Bartend or work at a restaurant.
Work at a hotel, motel, campground, or hostel.
Help out on a farm.
Work on a cruise ship or yacht.
Tutor.
Au Pair.
Teach English.

3. Freelance write or become a virtual assistant.

Freelance writing and virtual assisting are some of the very first things I did in order to make money at home online and they’re services I still provide today.

Freelance writing can be a fun way to make money online. Plus, you can usually freelance write from anywhere in the world (some positions ask you to be in-house, but the majority that I see allow you to be location independent).

Another online job somewhat similar to freelance writing is virtual assisting. I know many freelance writers who provide this service as well. A virtual assistant helps a business run more smoothly. You can be contracted for one project (such as collecting specific data for research) or it can be a continuing job such as replying to e-mails.

One company I recommend for virtual assistant work is UserTesting. This website pays you to test websites and they pay fairly well.

4. Sell products.

Another possibility to make money while traveling is to sell products both online and offline.

I’ve heard of some who sell items they collect while traveling, those who create crafts to sell at local craft fairs, and so on. If you decide you would rather sell items online, you could sell your products online such as on eBay, Etsy, Craigslist, and countless others.

5. Earn passive income.

For us, this is something we are working very hard towards because it would allow us to enjoy life even more.

Earning passive income while traveling may be one of your best options as well. This way you won’t feel tied down to work and can truly enjoy every place you are visiting.

Passive income options include dividend income, rental real estate, affiliate marketing, and more.

6. Housesit.

Housesitting usually means you’re working for free, but sometimes you do get paid. If you aren’t getting paid, it’s a free place to stay and you may stay in some very nice homes as well.

This can be a great way to make money while traveling or at least a way to cut your travel costs.

7. Work remotely.

I know someone who traveled for around one year and still kept their day job. Yes, I understand that most employers cannot/will not be this flexible, but there is a chance that yours may be fine with this option.

If you have a job which may allow you to work remotely, you may want to think about popping this question. If you plan on traveling anyway then what’s the worst that could happen?

Some of the most popular options for making online money include content writing, data entry, SMS sending jobs, selling items through eBay or as an affiliate marketer, or even online payroll jobs. The best thing about such jobs is the fact that you don't need to make any financial investments. As long as you can spare some time, you can always find some online work and make money.

If you possess good writing skills and can write good informative articles, you could make money through paid blogs. You should be competent in using the net and choose your options by carrying a widespread research.

The Internet has indeed facilitated and hastened up the process of finding jobs online. Using a search engine is very easy. Simply type your choice of job and in a moment, Google will provide you with hundreds and thousands of options. Now, it's for you to make up your mind and make your choice. You may start your search by following the top few links, and then refine your search by trying variations of your chosen keyword.

Let's say you opt to work as a freelance article writer. So, you just type "freelance article writing jobs" and then look for buyers that match your requirements. It is desirable to inform your buyers the time during which you can work. An important benefit of working as an article writer is the fact that you will get paid fast, almost as soon as you are done with your job.

Though there are tons of online jobs that help you earn well, you need to be a bit wary because the Internet is certainly infected by people looking to take advantage of you. However, most of the time it's safe to use this medium, but take precautions and don't ever disclose your personal information. This is especially important for any novice looking for online jobs.

When entering the desired keyword, Google presents you a long list of jobs for you to choose from. Of course, most such jobs are part-time which you can do from home without having to travel out. All that you need for getting started is a computer with an Internet connection. You may choose to work for a couple of buyers and thus earn more money by devoting more time. Considering that these are part-time jobs, they pay reasonably well.

For instance, blogs and surveys are ideal for the beginner, and surveys can produce immediate income. A blog is like an online journal. Surveys simply require you to share your opinion.

Your own web-site on the other hand requires some expertise and will usually produce income in the longer-term. However once your site does start making money for you, it's like having your own money-printing machine!

Google AdSense is where you enable adverts to show on your blog or website, and you get paid every time someone clicks on the ads. So, if your blog or website become popular, and you are getting thousands of visitors a week or a day, you can make a great income doing pretty much nothing! (You did the work previously setting up the blog or site and now you can reap the rewards).

Google AdWords is where you pay for your own advert that will appear down the right side of the page when people do a Google search. For instance, let's say you are selling health products and need more customers. If you have your own website, however simple, you can create an advert that will appear on Google's search results when someone does a search for health products. You pay every time someone clicks on your advert. Let's say Google charge you 20 cents a click, and for every 30 people that click you get a sale of, say, $40. As long as you are in profit with the results, it can be well worth doing. However, I strongly recommend that you follow the experts with this method, else you could waste a lot of money. Read my ebook before you get involved.

Affiliate marketing can work well with Adwords. This is where you send buyers to other people's websites and get generous commission on any sales made. The sales are tracked by way of a coded link. You don't need to buy stock or send items to customers, the website owner does all that. This can be a superb way to make money once you understand it.

Selling on eBay is another way to make money online quickly. You don't need to sell stuff from your loft, you can sell whatever you are most interested in - so, if you love sport, why not look into selling sports-related items. If you make jewellery, sell that. If you love dogs, sell dog-related items. Again, there are tricks of the trade that will make the difference between eBay success and failure.

There are e-books available which show you how to create your own web-site and you can also get free websites when you buy information packages on the web (for examples of this visit the recommended businesses via the link below). I make money in all these areas because I think it's a great idea to have more than one income stream. After all, why limit yourself?

I go into detail about exactly how to make money online with all 7 of these methods in my free e-book (see link below).

My best advice is to do what I did and copy those who are already making money online as I demonstrate in the e-book. Why? Well, you can avoid wasting lots of time and money this way. I spent 18 months trying to figure out the best ways to make money online and the result is, many methods can work but not always as fast as you may wish. So, you can get started with the methods that make immediate cash and then progress into other methods if you want to earn more.

Some people make six figures A MONTH online, while others just want a few hundred a week. That's the great thing about making money online, you can build up to whatever income you want, and let's face it, there aren't many jobs that offer you that!

8 Ways to Make Money Online to Travel

Many people have asked me how I make money to travel as much as I do -- usually noting that all it seems like I do is "blog", and "blogging can't be that lucrative, right?" Well, kind of, I actually only recently starting making (some) money from it, but the rest of the time, I write a crap load of content for other companies.

After doing it for a few years, I've mastered the ability to find and maintain multiple Internet-based freelance jobs, which means you can too! And no, that doesn't mean online-porn or anything else that's morally-degrading or weird. In fact, the majority of freelance jobs I have or have had, have never even seen what I look like!

I simply spend a few hours per day writing content about things I have 0 interest in such as, but not limited to; golf, executive gifts, hair salon news, engagement rings, vintage rock apparel, and even men's hair products. Then, I get a nice little paycheck each week that goes straight to my metaphorical travel piggy bank (after rent)!

If you're not a writer, you can still find freelance jobs in social media, cyber-assistant work, teaching, and even proof-reading! It's not glamorous, but it pays! Plus it allows you to make money either in addition to what you already make, or in my case, to support yourself while trying to accomplish your dream job and life goals. Plus, you can do it from your laptop, AKA anywhere in the world!!!

So how do you find this mysterious paid-online-freelance work? It takes some time and patience, but these are all the ways I've found freelance work in the past:

1. Elance.com or Freelancer.com
From ghost-writing a stock market blog and a young adult novel-series, to writing the featured articles for a print travel magazine, these types of sites have hundreds of freelance jobs to apply to. How it works is that people looking for one time hires, project based, part timers, or contributors will post a job with a price range, and freelancers pitch why they would be a fit for it. The perfect fit wins the job.

That being said, you might want to brush up on your job skill pitch and your resumé, and keep in mind you're competing with people who do this for a living. Other categories besides writing and editing include; design & multimedia, sales & marketing, admin support, etc.

2. Craigslist
Yes, yes, I know. It sounds super sketchy. But for freelancers who don't want to deal with big companies or corporations, it's an odd-job goldmine. If you look in "PR/Marketing" or "Writing/Editing", there are tons of freelance jobs and projects you can apply to.

Tip: your pitch is typically way more important than your resume. Ain't nobody got time to read boring resumes, they read what they see first, so make it stand out, and make sure you sound appreciative for the opportunity.

OH and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS...a lot of ads have secret "tests" just to see if you can follow basic directions, which many people can't....don't be that person.

3. Peer Referrals on Facebook
Oh, you thought social media was only to keep track of everyone from your highschool or get as many "likes" on photos as possible? Wrong! Not only is social media a great self-marketing tool, but it can be used for freelance job referrals and postings as well. Join as many Facebook groups as possible within your interest-range (tip: try "traveler" or "backpacker" type groups" or even "PR/Marketing Groups".

Many group members will post freelance job notifications in them rather than using a job-search site to help "friends". Linkedin is also a great resource for peer job-referral postings, however it tends to be more corporate.

4. Gigs on Fiverr.com or PeoplePerHour.com
SO, I haven't technically gotten a job this way, but I have paid a few people to do jobs for me from these sites! If there is anything that you are good at doing online (i.e. graphic design, writing, PR, social media, editing, drawing cartoons of people's pets, etc.) you can create a profile on either site, and have people pay you per gig.

5. Teaching English
Do you have any idea how many children and adults around the world would love to know how to speak English? Coincidentally, you probably do speak English...and coincidentally again...you can get certified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL) on one of many online courses.

Once you're certified, there are a ton of opportunities to teach abroad, but if you aren't ready to commit to that yet, you can also use it to tutor from the U.S.

6. Sell Stuff
I'll admit...there have been times where I really wanted to go somewhere but didn't have enough money. So what did I do? Sold a bracelet an ex-boyfriend gave me (sorry), sold my old prom dresses, even sold a weird looking statue I bought from a street vendor in South Africa! Chances are if you wanted it once, someone else will want it now, so you might as well see what you can get by selling your old stuff! Ebay, Amazon, and a bunch of other new sites and apps can all help you sell your stuff for some extra cash!

7. AirBnB, Uber, Lyft
I also haven't tried any of these, but am going to start looking into AirBnB because I keep hearing you can literally profit off of it if you live in a good area like NYC or LA. I also have a friend who drives for Uber who says he just drives when he has free time and makes enough money to travel from it!

8. Blogging & Influencers
I saved this one for last because I wanted to be realistic first. It took me a long time to get to the point where I can actually profit from ad sales and sponsored posts, so I don't want to make it seem like it's easy and attainable overnight.

If you're interested in starting a blog, you need to get a good template (I like WordPress), find your niché (what makes you different, or stand out in your area of expertise), and start writing a ton of content that interests both you AND your audience. It might take a while, but just keep writing and posting your stuff, and eventually you can turn it into something that you can even profit from!

5 Easy Ways to Make Money Blogging

When you guys speak, I listen.

A few weeks ago I shared my biggest lesson learned from BBC Charlotte. That led to a lot of the same questions asked in the comments…how do you make money blogging?

Making money blogging was not something that I intended for in the beginning. After the first year of blogging that changed dramatically,  I started making a little change from the blog. At first I used to think that only experienced, well known bloggers make money, I am here to tell you that is a myth. Brands are looking for all sized blogs and they are paying them too. I am proof.

So how does all this happen? Glad you asked.

1) Join Networks and APPLY

There are so many networks that pay bloggers for sponsored posts. This includes Social Fabric, Sverve, SITS Girls, Clever Girls Collective and more. Most of these require you apply with your social media stats and wait to see if you are chosen. I’ll be honest, the competition is tough. I don’t get picked that often, but I watch the opportunities closely and if something directly aligns with my blog, I apply. The worst you can get is a no! It is also a good thing to show you are eager to work with the network. If you are really concerned about why you didn’t get a certain campaign email them and find out. (In a nice way of course!)

2) Get out and meet people

My first real sponsored post came from a wonderful friend I met at BlogHer12 just a few months prior. The brand asked her if she knew any other NYC bloggers that would fit the criteria and she passed on my info. I was so extremely grateful so I always try to pay it forward.

If I hadn’t met her and connected with her at a blogging conference,  I wouldn’t have had such a great opportunity. Now I know blogging conferences are expensive, so in addition to that attend those brand events if you can. This is especially true if you live in metropolitan areas like NYC and ATL. A lot of the times brand send PR agencies, not actual employees. PR agencies represent a lot of different companies. Make nice with them.

That is just the beginning. Most of my partnerships including being a Brand Ambassador for the GotMilk Protein Fight Club was from attending an event. I took 1/2 a day off from work to attend, but it turned out to be one of the smartest investments that I have ever made. Meeting brands is like speed dating. You get to know them, they get to know you, and if it works you follow up and see how you can work together in the future.

Go to blogger meetup groups. Get to know the people around you that are blogging. These are your co-workers. You can work together to make some money.

3) Exploit Your Social Media

Got an insane amount of twitter followers?  Your Pinterest following is enough to fill a small stadium? Even if your numbers aren’t astronomical here is how you can use those numbers to your advantage:

BlogHer currently has a social media influencers program where they will pay you to pin, tweet and/or fb. No blog post required. Easy money! They even pay influencers to go to events and tweet. So you are saying that you are going to feed me, give me great swag and you simply want me to tweet? I do that anyway everywhere I go!

4) Write for other brands

I don’t do this personally but I know so many of my bloggy friends that do. Believe t or not this blogging life is considered to be new media. Old media needs people who already know how to manage blogging, comments and etc. That would be you! You already have a blog so there is your portfolio. You would just be writing about that brand.

Media brands want to align themselves with real authentic grounded bloggers. This is also an excellent way to build your resume for a traditional writing position.

5) Payment In Product/Access

This one is nontraditional but you might want to consider receiving product as payment. Those free tickets that you were comped? Probably would have cost you a lot of money otherwise.  The product that was sent to you for review, that you use daily? That is just a different form of compensation. Sometimes it’s not about the physical money, the gifts and access has monetary value as well.

I hope you got something out of this!

Five Simple Steps To Make Money Online This New Year

Most people in a new year make resolutions to make more money and attempt to make money online. However it is also true that a vast majority of people fail to actually make money online. Why is this? Most people in their haste and enthusiasm to make money online go all out and attempt to "try their luck" and go around purchasing advertising to promote and try to sell whatever affiliate program or home based business opportunity that they have with no results to show for it. So not only are they not making money, they are losing money online.

How then can you make money online with any business? While many people tend to try to complicate our lives, this article shows you two steps that you can take today to increase the success of your online business and make you
money online.

Step One: Anyone trying to make money online is trying to sell something. Spend some time writing down who you think your target market is. Many people spend countless hours thinking about the wrong things, like how many people can I get to visit my website and then how many projected sales
you can get. People love to tell you that the internet conversion ratio is about 1% so that out of 100 people visiting your website, you will get one signup or sale. I would say quit believing in numbers. That is putting the cart before the horse. Your conversion ratio will increase once you get targeted visitors to your website. By writing down exactly who you want to target to visit your website, you will know what articles, and what tone of writing your website should take and therefore once the visitor visits your website, he should find what they are looking for and you make money when they either signup or purchase something from your website.

Therefore, when doing online advertisement once you gave analyzed what is your target audience, you can then go to places where your target audience would visit and your conversion ratios will increase. For instance if my website was selling baby shoes, when placing an online
advertisement, I would target the specific audience that I was looking for and place an advertisement in an ezine that targets moms. Spend time writing down who you think your customers will be and then place your advertisement accordingly with the right language that motivates your customers in the right way and you will make money.

Step Two: Next develop a method to track how your ads are doing. Once you can track where your hits are coming from, you can then write down what ads are working and spend more of your monthly advertising dollar there and thereafter make
more money from increased online sales. This is also what people deem by calculating the return on investment for any advertising campaign.

How is this done? Here is the simplest way you can do it for free no matter what you are selling online. Go to one of those free webhosts online and open a free website account. Get a webhost with an easy webpage builder that has the
ability to add a simple html code to your main page.

A good webhost I would recommend is:

http://free.prohosting.com/

Step Three: After signing up for your web host, now go to http://www.statcounter.com and then open a new account. Login and explore your account and look for the part which gives you the code to add to your website. Now leave that page open and go to the next step.

Step Four: Now go to the web host mentioned above and use the web site creation utility and then create a simple page. Now leaving the page creation utility open, copy the code into the page you are creating.

Step Five: Now we want to copy a simple redirect script into the page that you created. This means that any page that looks for the page you created will be redirected to the target website that you are advertising so your customer would not know that your page is redirecting.

Change the url below to the target page and this can be either a sales page or a business opportunity page.

Let us summarize what you have done with your simple webpage. You have created a simple web page with a Java Redirect Script and a Statcounter to track where your hits to your target website are and now you can place your targeted online advertisements and track them to see which
ads are getting your sales and therefore make better use of your advertising dollar to make more money online in whatever business you are in.

Spend some time every month doing some small changes to track your online sales and tweak and test, test and test until you get the sales copy that pulls the best online and then stick to it and advertise in the place that gives you the best return on your investment. Making money on the
internet is thus a highly disciplined process where you test and refine your online advertising campaigns to yield you the best return on investment.

In conclusion, to make money online, you need to focus on your target audience, write ads that meet the needs of your target audience, track the outcome of your ads and constantly make small changes to your advertising copy until you get the best result. Take massive action today in measured steps and you will see that you will start making
money from the internet.

Making extra money online can seem like a daunting task but it can be done. There are a TON of different ways that you can make extra money, one way is by having your own blog. The great part about having a blog is that you can be yourself and make your own schedule. If you want to devote a lot of time to it you can, or if you just want to do a few hours a week making extra money online will be up to you. Starting a blog is actually very easy to do. Even though you will not get rich quick from having a blog it is a nice way to add extra revenue to your monthly income. Plus, it is fun! Below I will walk you through the steps on how you can start your own blog and begin making extra money online. You can also watch the video tutorial at the end where I guide you through the entire process.

If your budget is stretched just as far as it can go, you might be looking for additional ways which you can earn money.  Unfortunately, if you do a search on-line, you will more than likely hit upon sites which are less than honest (so I don’t recommend you do that).

The best tip is to look for something you can do to use your skills and interests.  Don’t try to do something simply to make money, or you’ll quit before you even get started.  Below you’ll find TEN ideas for jobs you can do right from home!

Of course, you can always check out Amazon for several free Kindles (and some for which you pay), but below you’ll find TEN popular ideas!!

1. Virtual Assistant. This type of job is for someone who is organized.  Many sites (even mine) hire Virtual Assistants to help them.  A virtual assistant (VA) works for bloggers or websites.  They could do things from check email, to writing articles to even doing accounting.  The hours and pay varies from site to site, but it is a nice way to pick up a few extra hours of work and some extra spending cash.  Visit VirtualAssistants.com to learn more about how to become a VA.

2. Survey/Points Sites.  I’ve recommended these before – because they work.  You may not always get approved for every survey, but if you keep at it, you can definitely earn some money.  In addition, it can take a while to turn those points into cash, but it does happen!  Most of these sites reward you in the form of points and then you in turn redeem the points in exchange for cash or prizes.  Some of them you might look into include:  Inbox Dollars, MyPoints, and MySurvey.

3. Open a Day Care.  This is one which is for someone who truly loves kids.  You will need to be able to prepare meals, teach kids and have a set up in your home which would be safe for children.  If this interests you, it is important that you visit your own state’s childcare license office to learn what it will take to become accredited.  Share with friends to help them get the word out that you are open for business!

4. Home Based Business.   I’m sure you’ve heard of many consultant based businesses, such as Thirty-One Gifts, Mary Kay, Party Lite, Pampered Chef, etc.  These are great companies that allow you to set your own hours, get out and meet new people and still bring in a little spending money.  Make sure you do your homework so you fully understand the start up costs and even what you have to do in order to maintain your consultant status.

5. Ebay.  If you love to search out deals, Ebay might be a good deal for you.  If you find a great deal on a toy on clearance, you can probably turn around and sell it on Ebay for more than what you paid for it.  Another great thing to sell on Ebay is children’s clothes.  Right now, the economy is so tough that parents can’t afford new clothes, so they can head to Ebay and purchase them for just a few dollars per item.  Whatever you decide to sell, Ebay has tools to help you from determining your cost to ad layout.  Just do your research and get ready to sell!

6.  Sell Your Photos.
If you are budding photographer, you can make money by selling your images.  There are sites where you then sell your photos.  As with any on-line endeavor, always read the fine print before you sign up so you know what you are getting into.  Here are a couple of sites you might check out:  iStockPhoto, Shutterstock, Fotolia.

7.  Call Center Employee.  When you place a call to a company, the call rarely goes to an office, but is directed to an employee (who is probably working from their home).  You simply set up an area where you can work and follow a script, taking calls from customers.  Pay varies, depending upon the type of company for which you work.  If you are interested in this option, here are some sites you can visit to learn more:  workingsolutions.com, liveops.com or alpineaccess.com.

8.  Data Entry.  With the digital age comes the need to transfer all of that content on paper into digital media.  Companies actually pay people, just like you,  to enter this for them.  This is the one where you will find a LOT of scams, so make sure you are very careful before you sign up.    Here are a few sites you can trust:  FlexJobs, HEA-Employment and VirtualBee.

9. Content Writer. Love to write?  You might be able to get hired for freelance writing jobs.  The reason is that companies need to hire quality writers to create content for their websites.  This can also be a way to sell your content to bloggers (if you are an expert in a field).   Visit Elance to get started!

10.  Sell your wares.  If you love to create items, you can sell them for cash.  Check out Etsy and sign up!

Of course, before you ever sign up, make sure you protect yourself.  Here are tips to know if the company could potentially scam you:

    Watch for pyramid schemes.
Be leery of a company who makes you pay before they tell you what your job will be.
Read the fine print.  Know what to expect before you agree to the terms (that means, don’t just click the accept button).
Research the company at the Better Business Bureau to see if they are accredited or if there have been complaints filed.

Whatever you decide to do when you work from home, just make sure you do thorough research.   Make sure it works for you and it is something you enjoy doing.  Not all opportunities are for everyone.  Good Luck!

6 Easy Ways To Make Money Online

One of the most pervading dreams to be able to make easy money on the internet.

Sadly, as any failed blogger or internet marketer will tell you, making money online is nowhere near as easy as the gurus with their shiny courses and expensive software will try to convince you.

Making a sizable income online takes years of learning, trial-and-error and quite possibly a fair amount of luck too. Not that it’s impossible; just that if we’re being realistic then earning a living online will probably take far more effort than most people realize.

However if you want to make a little extra money each month – to cover a car payment, pay off a little debt or start putting into your savings – then there are a number of strategies that work. You’re unlikely to get rich from them but there are some easy ways to make money online if you know where to look.

Easy Ways To Make Money Online

Over the years I’ve tried all sorts of different schemes for earning money online. Not surprisingly most of them have fallen flat on their face – often after a considerable investment of time or money from me. So let’s cut straight to the chase and reveal the best easy ways to make money online that really have worked for me…

Surveys

One of the oldest yet easiest ways to make money online is by filling in consumer surveys. You tell the survey company about your shopping habits, or your opinions on a new advert or suchlike, and you earn a little bit of money in exchange.
Generally these surveys are pretty quick and mindless to fill in – so they can easily be done while you’re watching TV or suchlike – and the sums you earn can add up pretty quickly if you’re willing to put some time into it.

However there is a problem with making money online by filling in surveys; there are a lot of unscrupulous companies out there who either pay peanuts or who have very few surveys you can actually complete.

So while it is possible to make easy money by filling in surveys the most critical element is signing up with the right survey companies in the first place.

Based on my own experiences if you like the idea of filling in surveys the best survey sites to sign up with are:

Product Reviews

Product reviews are big business online. So many consumers look for product reviews before actually purchasing a product that the site with the best reviews will likely make a lot of money.

Equally, not only are independent reviews far more valuable than those written by a specific company but of course a single company could never hope to review the millions of products currently on offer.

Thankfully there are a couple of sites then who recruit average consumers like you and me to write reviews for them. And in exchange they’ll pay you for your opinions.

And while they may not pay a lot, it’s a quick and easy way to earn some extra money online simply by telling someone what you think of a specific film, book or whatever. To get you started, why not sign up with DooYoo and Software Judge.

User Experience Testing

Big internet companies spend huge sums of money on building and marketing their websites so they want to know that they can turn as many visitors into customers as possible. And one tool they use is user experience (UX) testing.

In essence these companies want to see how normal people interact with their website. So, you’ll be asked to visit a certain website and, for example, download a discount coupon they’re offering.
They’ll record your computer screen so they can watch you moving around their site. They’ll analyze how easy people find it to complete the necessary action and they’ll take on board any experiences you have along the way to try and make their website as user-friendly as possible.

Surely when it comes to easy ways to make money online, simply visiting a specific website and letting them record your thoughts is about as simple as it gets?

If this sounds of interest to you then you can sign up as a tester at the following companies:

Microjobs

A “microjob” is a task that takes a matter of minutes to complete. An example might be sharing something on Facebook, drawing a cartoon sheep or uploading a photo to a specific website.
As each microjob is so simple and so small, they don’t pay very much individually. However its possible to complete dozens of them each week in your spare time and you’ll earn extra cash with no real experience or skills required.

To find out more about microjobs and to set up a free account try visiting:

Freelancing

Seeing as this article focuses on “easy” ways to earn money online I did struggle as to whether to include freelancing here. After all, many professional fulltime freelancers would certainly balk at the idea that it’s “easy money”.

But these are the people earning full-time incomes (or more) from it. If you just want to earn a little pocket money on the side then freelancing is a perfectly viable solution.
Probably the easiest freelance jobs of all are writing gigs – producing articles for people to post on their blogs and websites. Having said that, if you have any special skills or interests you’ll be able to find freelance graphic design jobs, computer programming, web design and more. The more “technical” a job is the more it pays.

Every freelancers has their own preferred site for finding freelance jobs but my personal preference is for Elance. I’ve had an account there for years and have done some really interesting work. I also managed to land a $1,200 writing gig there within a week of getting started so there’s certainly a lot of potential for the right people.

Selling On Amazon

The last of these easy ways to earn money online that I’d like to recommend is selling your unwanted goods on Amazon. After sorting through tons of old books I owned a few years ago, I was trying to decide what to do with all of the titles I didn’t want any more.

Garage sale? Give them to charity of my local library? Or try to sell them online? As an experiment I signed up for an Amazon sellers account and listed them online. And I did surprisingly well with orders coming through regularly for my unwanted books.

It can be a bit of a pain going down to the post office all the time to send them off, but it’s an easy way to not only cluttered your home but also make some easy money along the way.

How to Start a Blog That Makes Money

One of the most common questions I get is how to start a blog. Inevitably, the second question is: how to start a blog that makes money. While there is no short answer to this one, I can certainly lay out how to get started. Anyone can do it, all you need is a topic that you are passionate about and the motivation to write about it.

First a little bit of background about how I got into blogging. It was almost on accident. I was a frustrated Nurse trying to start a nutritional counseling business on the side. I kept copying and pasting my recipes and emailing them to my clients, when one day I decided that it would be so much easier if my recipes just lived online somewhere and I could just direct people there. So one night I crawled into bed with my laptop and started up my free wordpress.com site.

First, I want to offer you up this webinar that I recorded with a blogger friend of mine: Arsy from Rubies & Radishes. We go over pretty much everything that I cover in this post. So, if you want to hear our stories, watch the video below.

Step One: Come up with a Domain Name

A domain name is your desired web address, mine is www.realfoodrn.com. Come up with something that is easy to remember, easy to spell, and not too long. People will never remember your blog name if it is something like www.iliketoblogbecauseilikefoodphotos.com. Believe me, I have seen some interesting names out there. Heck, I started with www.nursemompaleo.com — yep, google it, my old site is still out there somewhere. Promise you won’t laugh!

With a free wordpress.com site you can simply use the web address that they provide you with. It will, however, contain the word wordpress in it. Ex: www.realfoodrn.wordpress.com. If that’s okay with you, then you are ready to go. If not, then you need to find a domain and have it directed to your host. I use Namecheap.

You can also get a domain name in the steps I list below. So read this post all the way through before you start anything!

Step Two: Set up a Website

You have to get a website up. There are two ways that you can do this: free or paid. I started with free because I never intended to monetize. But I eventually migrated to paid as my website traffic increased, so I could make money with ads and affiliates.
Here is the difference

Free websites: I used wordpress.com. It is basically a storehouse for your content. The only problem is that you cannot have paid ads or plugins because the platform is free. So, your options are very limited. But, if you are not looking to monetize, then this is perfect for you. WordPress has ads on these sites, but you do not earn from them.

Paid websites: I migrated to wordpress.org and then paid a web host.  A web host is a company that provides space on a computer (server) to host the files for your website, as well as providing Internet connectivity so that other computers can access to the files on your website.

My website is hosted by Flywheel and they are amazing! If you want a super fast site with the ability to handle high levels of traffic then Flywheel is great. They also have awesome customer service! They also have a variety of different plans, to fit different budgets and traffic levels. I think they are the best bang for your buck, for the quality they provide! If you want to find a host that you will stick with long-term, then start with Flywheel. If you want to start with the absolute lowest priced host, you can certainly do that (see below), but as traffic levels increase you might have to pay someone to help you migrate your entire site to a bigger host. That is a big pain in the rear, I had to do it. It also can be costly.

But, when you are just getting started and have a very small budget, you can find web hosts that charge less than $5 per month. Some of the more popular hosts are Blue Host or Host Gator.
